Bell, Rogers and TELUS business bills: getting the full bill

Many Canadian carriers email a 'your bill is ready' notice with a link rather than the bill itself. To check a bill properly, or have software read it, you need the full PDF or a detailed export from the carrier's business portal. Here's how to get each, carrier by carrier.

Updated

PDF or portal export?

  • The PDF bill is the bill as the carrier prints it. Many carriers can attach it to each bill email if you turn on paperless or e-bill delivery with attachments.
  • A spreadsheet export (CSV or Excel) from the carrier's business portal often carries more detail than the PDF, such as cost centres, sites and sub-accounts for every line.

Conduit TEM reads both. PDFs and photos of paper bills are read by Conduit AI; exports from the Bell, Rogers and TELUS business portals are read directly.

Carrier by carrier

Menu names change often and differ between personal and business accounts, so these notes say what to look for rather than where to click. If you can't find a setting, your carrier's business support line can tell you what your account offers.

What to look for at each Canadian carrier
CarrierWhat to look for

CogecoPaperless billing in your Cogeco account. If you only get a notice, download the PDF from the account.
ShawShaw is now part of Rogers, and some Shaw Business accounts have moved to Rogers billing. Check whichever account your bills now come from.

Getting every carrier's bills into one place

With several carriers and accounts, bills arrive in different inboxes on different days. In Conduit TEM, each organization gets a bill inbox address: give it to your carriers as the billing email, or forward bill emails to it from your own mailbox. Bills that arrive as attachments are read automatically; a link-only email shows up as such, so you know to download that one.

The help centre has the details: get PDF bills from your carrier and your bill inbox.

Have a bill in hand? The free bill check accepts the carrier's PDF or a CSV or Excel export, up to 10 MB.
